World Cup

The qualifying matches for the World cup are played every second friday for 2 seasons. The matches of the World Cup are played every friday during 1 season.

The World Cup, the U20 World Cup and the U17 World Cup are played in different seasons. In this way each season a WC final will be played.

Qualification Round

This stage determines the final 16 participants in the World Cup. In each confederation, the teams are split into groups of 4 or 5. Within each group there are return matches. It is possible, that a confederations teams may enter another confederations qualifying, because of a lack of countries. The number of countries from each confederation in the final stages can vary depending on the number of countries active within a confederation.

World Cup. First Round

The 16 teams participating are put into 4 groups of 4 teams. Within each group there are return matches. The teams in 1º and 2º of each group qualifies for the finals.

World Cup. Second round - Final

This phase consists of the quarter final, semi final, and final. The losers of the semi-final, will play in a 3rd place play-off match.
